I've just started painting with inks. This started out as ink blobs pressed between 2 pages of a Moleskine sketchbook. Then I saw birds in one side and drew them in. The other half of the experiment awaits development.
I love the intense color of ink, but am wary of disastrous spilling.

Very nice! In woodturning we generally say that if something becomes something other than you started out to do, you just "took advantage of a design oportunity". Those are wonderful experiences that some times lead to other new works.
love these birds, makes me think of Miro. What is the line between representational and abstract art anyway. I came online to see your abstract (the post below this) and I do love it of course (it looks a little like one of mine, so of course I think it's superb (grinning) ), but I was drawn to the vitality and vivacity of these birds. Yummy!
