I stopped by the woods

Drawing the inside of the car door against the woods background.

One of my goals was to capture the difference between the view through the open window and the window, plus the various values in the door form.

Pen and w/c on Moleskine w/c paper.

Nita, this is a really neat idea. I love the idea of drawing 'outside' but 'inside' the car you can stay warm! I kmow you stood outside to draw the door of your car, but the option to duck back inside is still there.

I love the way you did this drawing. Especially the juxtaposition of manmade surfaces to those created by Mother Nature. The colours are fresh and lively, too.

Thanks, Bonny! Actually I drew this while sitting in the back seat. No standing required!
