Nita, this is another of two strange art coincidences I've had lately! Thursday I prepared an 18" x 24" piece of paper with gouache for a figure drawing session I was having in my house, with the same colors and same striations as your cup piece. Really, the backgrounds could be twins! Unfortunately for me, my drawing didn't turn out well at all, but YOURS did. I really love the simple bold drawing on that colorful ground.
