While some EDM members were sketchcrawling in the Ruben Museum, I stood outside for five minutes and did my gas meter with snow shovel.
Holding the paper while standing in the cold leads to erratic lines, but it's an authentic New Hampshire sculptural sight/site.
Experimenting with hot press w/c paper--I like it! Paint added later, inside where I could do a bit of layering.

OH THIS IS GREAT!!! I thought of sketching in the rain yesterday, thought of sketching in the cold today -- NOT going to happen ... I'm so dang cold natured that my squiggles would have quiggles ... it's hard enough to get a line down as it is! LOL I commend you for a great sketch AND doing so in the cold!!! GO GIRL!
That is a great sketch... and very timely! Very brave to use watercolor where there is a shovel close by due to the odds of freezing.
AHHHH, this scene is way too familiar and my reason for heading to AZ for the winter. You are brave standing outside no less. What a great subject!
Glad to hear about your hot-pressed paper. I have some that I have been afarid to try!
I can't imagine standing in NH temps sketching! You are my hero. LOL
I like the colors here! Hot press watercolor paper is fun... it is a whole different experience with the paint, no?
