Sturdy and solid


One of my standby drawing models. He never twitches and even waits if I go off to answer the phone or make tea.

One might say it's a rather wooden expression, though. He's leaning a bit to balance on that slanting floor.

Palomino HB pencil (which marks like most 2Bs) on cardstock.

Hi Nita, thanks for the comments! This little guy is cute! I'm not sure how long my sketches take. I tend to say they are quick if I can do a shaded one over the course of two days - but that is with meals, tidying up, shopping and all that stuff in-between! Line drawings take minutes but the shaded stuff takes hours, usually off and on.

Is he ever cute! You did a nice job with the shading, too.
Can you post a photo of your bear model? I bet he's adorable! (Can you tell I have a fondness for bears???)
