The ever-moving profile

Capturing the subtle contours and shapes of the cat's head constantly challenges me. He sleeps soundly to lure me in, but as soon as I draw a cheek and ear, he moves.

I start again, he moves. Again and again. It's a dance. He's teaching me to draw very fast.

This is one quick-step of the waltz (no, jitterbug!) we do. The pen is a Force 8 cheapie I bought in France. It washes nicely. I added a bit of w/c for a shadow, just to anchor the image.

This has an abstract quality to it! Great job!

Aren't cats wonderful?! Lovely lines here, a great angle. (Love the angel and the tea strainer too!)
