wandering the museum

I went to draw sculptures at the Currier Art Museum. I found this unusual swooping, turning marble piece and started drawing.

As I was drawing, the piece began to seem familiar, so stopped to find the artist's name. David Chamberlain. In the mid 90s I took a semester-long poetry writing class from him that was fun, innovative, and so productive.

He had so many non-writer creative ideas for poetry, bring into the class all sorts of craziness and creativity to stimulate writing. One of those memorable, inspirational teachers like no other.
