Very rare--Chaucer stayed in this position for my entire drawing effort. It's hot and he's lethargic.

The Old Weavers Restaurant
Sketching before lunch in Canterbury, one of many pilgrims to journey to the Cathedral. The restaurant was an inn back in the 1500s.

Nusa Dua, London
I seldom take the time to draw a meal in a restaurant because I hate eating food that has gone cold. But this was a basket of Indonesian rice cracker-things that came before my meal.

Feet in the lotus
I was looking for an unusual gift for a friend with an interest in spiritual/expanded Consciousness. I found this, something I'd never seen before among the stores carrying crystals, minerals, Buddha statues, etc.
The clerk at Watkins Bookstore in London told me it represents Buddha standing in the heart of the lotus. It's made of black chert. My friend loved it!

not bored here
Chaucer loves summer because he can sit in the windows, feel the breeze or relax in the sun, and keep an eye on the wild things.

Appaloosa bells
I dabbed on some acrylic, then drew the bells in ink, shaded it all with pastels. A strange but intriguing effect.
In the new journal volume. I'm getting used to the paper.

journal cover
I can't find that I ever posted this. The cover of my pre-May journal, an abstract on w/c that I put on the cover of a Bienfang sketchbook.
